Luli del Castello will make her EuroNASCAR return as the EuroNASCAR 2 driver of CAAL Racing’s No. 54 Chevrolet Camaro in the upcoming Autodrom Most round.

Luli del Castello’s entry to the NASCAR GP Czech Republic on 31 August-1 September has been confirmed. The 39-year old Italian is set to make her EuroNASCAR return as the substitute driver for Sven van Laere in the CAAL Racing No. 54 Chevrolet Camaro.

“Finally, after a year and a half of waiting, I’m back in the championship I love so much,” said del Castello to euronascar.com. “I missed EuroNASCAR so much.”

Del Castello had previously revealed plans for a comeback through a post that was published on her Instagram account on 26 July 2024.

The post showcases del Castello making test laps with CAAL’s two current Chevrolet Camaro’s at Autodromo dell’Umbria, her first laps inside an EuroNASCAR stock car since the 2022 season finale at Rijeka.

Del Castello made a lasting impact on the 2022 season, her sole EuroNASCAR full-time year to date. The Roccaraso driver was the dominant driver in the Lady Trophy, easily securing the overall victory after taking home eight Trophy wins.

She also scored two overall top-10 finishes and was a consistent finisher, only failing to see the checkered flag once. This bodes well with reigning series champion Gianmarco Ercoli, who will be acting as her teammate once more.

Having not competed in any form of motorsport for the past year and a half, del Castello hopes that her upcoming outing at Autodrom Most will set the ground for a possible full-time return in 2025.

“I hope it’s just the foundation for a full-time return in the 2025 season,” revealed del Castello. “CAAL Racing gave me the opportunity to come back and I want to repay their trust in me with strong results at Most.”
