The listing for all records related to podium finishes in EuroNASCAR’s junior division, EuroNASCAR OPEN.
Unlike most NASCAR-sanctioned championships, NASCAR Euro Series implements a podium system for the first three finishing drivers. While unusual for stock car racing, the podium is a symbol of success that is widespread among the greater motorsport community.
A total of 84 drivers and 43 teams have visited the podium in the junior EuroNASCAR OPEN division since the first season of the series under official NASCAR sanctioning in 2012.

MOST PODIUMS IN A SEASON
Stienes Longin currently holds the record for the most podiums in a single EuroNASCAR OPEN season with eleven (11).
Longin’s title-winning campaign in 2016 saw him finish on the podium in 11 races. Only a retirement in the penultimate race prevented him from setting a perfect podium finish record.

Sørensen only competed in eleven (11) out of the thirteen (13) races held in his debut year and title-winning 2019 season, but he managed to finish on the podium in all but one of the starts that he made.

YOUNGEST DRIVER TO SCORE A PODIUM
Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer is the youngest driver to finish on the podium in EuroNASCAR 2. Simmenauer was 16 years and 252 days old when he finished third in the first race of the 2017 American Fan Fest at Hockenheimring.
Simmenauer beat the previous record set by Gabriele Volpato, who was 16 years and 304 days old when he finished third in the second race of the 2013 Nogaro 200 at Circuit Paul Armagnac.

OLDEST DRIVER TO SCORE A PODIUM
Alain Grand is the oldest driver to finish on the podium in EuroNASCAR OPEN. Grand was 59 years and 287 days old when he finished third in the second race of the 2012 Valencia SemiFinals at Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
He beat the previous record set by Marc Duez, who was 55 years and 54 days old when he won the second race of the 2012 Spa 200 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

FEWEST RACES BEFORE FIRST PODIUM
Twenty-two (22) drivers have managed to finish on the podium in their first EuroNASCAR OPEN race. Martin van Hove, Eric Quintal and Alain Grand became the first drivers to do so when they finished inside the top-3 in the first EuroNASCAR 2 race under NASCAR’s official sanctioning at Circuit Paul Armagnac in 2012.
Three more drivers tied the feat on the same year: Ben Anderson at Brands Hatch, Josh Burdon at Valencia and Olivier Porta at Le Mans. Anthony Gandon, Julien Goupy and Luigi Moccia followed in 2013 at Nogaro (for Gandon and Goupy) and Monza (for Moccia).
The 2014 season opening race at Valencia saw an all-debutant top-3 finish featuring Neal van Vaerenbergh, Nicolò Rocca and Marsilio Canuti (all pictured). It took until 2017 before the feat was repeated again with Maciej Dreszer and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer at Valencia and Hockenheim respectively.
Florian Venturi was the only one to do so in 2018. 2019 saw five drivers achieving the feat: Giorgio Maggi and Vittorio Ghirelli at Valencia, Lasse Sørensen at Franciacorta, Barry Maessen at Venray and Hugo de Sadeleer at Hockenheim.
Tobias Dauenhauer and Alberto “Naska” Fontana are currently the latest drivers to do so, in 2020 and 2022 respectively.
