Longin started from first in eight of the twelve races held in the 2016 season, a feat that has yet to be matched or beaten by another driver since.

MOST POLE POSITIONS IN DEBUT SEASON
Two drivers, Anthony Gandon (pictured) and Giorgio Maggi, currently holds the record for the most pole position in their debut EuroNASCAR OPEN season with six (6).
Gandon set the benchmark on his rookie season in 2013, obliterating the previous record of two (2) that was set by several drivers in 2012, the inaugural EuroNASCAR OPEN season under NASCAR sanctioning.
Maggi tied the record six years later with an impressive late-season surge that saw him claim six consecutive poles in the second half of the 2019 season.

YOUNGEST DRIVER TO START ON POLE
Thomas Ferrando is the youngest pole sitter in EuroNASCAR OPEN. Ferrando was 17 years and 8 days old when he qualified on pole for the first race of the 2014 Nürburgring 200.
Ferrando beat the previous record set by Neal van Vaerenbergh, who was 17 years and 291 days old when he started on pole in the first race of the 2014 Valencia NASCAR Fest at Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

OLDEST DRIVER TO START ON POLE
Eric Quintal is the oldest pole sitter in EuroNASCAR OPEN. Quintal was 48 years and 105 days old when he secured pole position in the second race of the 2012 Valencia SemiFinals at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
He beat the previous record set by Gerald Cormon, who was 38 years and 31 days old when he started on pole in the second race of the 2012 Spa 200 at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

FEWEST RACES BEFORE FIRST POLE POSITION
Seven drivers have managed to start their first EuroNASCAR OPEN race from pole position: Eric Quintal, Loic Deman, Olivier Porta, Neal van Vaerenbergh, Florian Renauer, Myatt Snider (pictured, left) and Tobias Dauenhauer.
Eric Quintal was the first driver to do the feat when he qualified on pole for the first EuroNASCAR OPEN race under NASCAR’s official sanctioning at Circuit Paul Armagnac in 2012.
The feat was immediately equaled by Deman and Porta in the same season, followed by van Vaerenbergh, Renauer, Snider and Dauenhauer who did so in 2014, 2015, 2019 and 2020 respectively.
