Hendriks Motorsport drivers Martin Doubek and Gil Linster gave their insight on how they will approach the 2024 NASCAR GP Czech Republic at Autodrom Most.

Hendriks Motorsport drivers Martin Doubek and Gil Linster are expected to be the favorites to win the two EuroNASCAR 2 races that will be held at Autodrom Most as part of the 2024 NASCAR GP Czech Republic.

Doubek and Linster are the dominant force in EuroNASCAR 2 this year, having taken home six out of seven victories. Both drivers are not only motivated to score more wins, but also felt the pressure of being the top championship contenders in the division.

This is felt more by Doubek, who is still looking for his first victory at home. With family, friends and fans coming to attend the NASCAR GP Czech Republic, there will be an added incentive for Doubek to give them a memory to remember.

“There’s a little bit of both, motivation and pressure,” said Doubek to euronascar.com. “I’m super motivated to win my home race. My family, friends and colleagues will be at Most to see me race. It’s a little extra pressure for sure.”

“I’m confident about this season and I’m sure we can get good results at the Autodrom Most. The car is in great shape and I feel very good.”

“Of course, I need a little bit of luck to stay out of trouble. In EuroNASCAR you cannot predict what will happen. I just have to stay focused and go for it.”

For Linster, he’s motivated to regain the ground that he had lost due to bad luck. Even though he’s currently 34 points behind his teammate, Linster remains confident as he knows that bad luck is something that can affect anyone in the grid.

The Luxembourger driver downplays the pressure of being the chaser in the title fight, but he understands that the upcoming round at Most will give Doubek an extra pressure that he could capitalize on.

“We had a lot of bad luck with crashes in Valencia with Martin, in Vallelunga with Claudio Cappelli and at Venray we had a puncture,” said Linster to euronascar.com. “The 34-point gap isn’t because of performance, but because of bad luck.”

“I’m not worried about the title fight. Everything is still up for grabs and bad luck can happen to anyone on the grid. That’s part of racing, it’s out of our control.”

“Martin will be strong on his home track, but maybe a bit nervous because it’s his home race. He has to deliver. That gives me some freedom to attack and take advantage.”
