MOMO is returning to EuroNASCAR after they signed a partnership deal with Sharks Team Italia and their drivers Claudio Remigio Cappelli and Simone Giussani for 2024.
Famed Italian aftermarket company MOMO will be returning to the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series after they signed a partnership deal with Sharks Team Italia for the upcoming 2024 season.
MOMO will sponsor two drivers that Sharks is set to manage in 2024, Academy Motorsport’s Claudio Remigio Cappelli and Double V Racing’s new signing Simone Giussani.
“MOMO and Sharks Team are thrilled to announce their partnership for the 2024 EuroNASCAR Championship season,” announced Sharks Team Italia on 29 January. “The drivers designated for this exciting collaboration are the talented Claudio Remigio Cappelli and Simone Giussani.”
“The alliance marks a significant step for both parties, further consolidating MOMO’s presence in the world of motorsport and bringing new energy to the team led by Stefano Stefani.”
MOMO, famous for their sponsorships with teams such as Tsuchiya Engineering and Ferrari’s WSC program in the 90’s, entered EuroNASCAR in 2020 courtesy of a three-year partnership with Hendriks Motorsport.
Initially acting as the provider of their kit wear and firesuit, MOMO stepped up to become the Dutch team’s title sponsor for the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
MOMO and Hendriks’ collaboration proved to be very successful as they secured a total of 32 race wins and seven championship titles – EN2 and Team’s title in 2020 and 2022 and a sweep of all three titles in 2021.
MOMO’s collaboration with Hendriks was quietly dropped for the 2023 season, but now they are ready for a new journey with Sharks Team Italia, Cappelli and Giussani.
