SpeedHouse Racing will promote their Club Challenge stalwart Florian Richard to EuroNASCAR 2, with the Frenchman set to race the No. 33 Ford Mustang in 2024.

The next step in Florian Richard’s promising career will begin in 2024 with his first season in EuroNASCAR 2. After a maiden season in EuroNASCAR Club Challenge last year, Richard was announced as the driver of SpeedHouse Racing’s No. 33 Ford Mustang in the junior class yesterday.

Richard will be following in the footsteps of drivers such as Advait Deodhar and Paul Jouffreau, who had also moved to EN2 after their success in Club Challenge.

“He’s going to continue his two-year program with SpeedHouse Racing,” said SpeedHouse team owner Lucas Lasserre to euronascar.com. “Last year we have an impressive season with strong results and now he’s ready to jump on EuroNASCAR 2 division,” further Lasserre adds on SpeedHouse’s own official release.

“Florian, with his entourage family and partners, are totally integrated on the team. Florian also created a strong relationship with the mechanics and all the team members.”

“It’s a proof about his education and a part of the success to create a strong chemistry around him. We respected our plan, our Training Process and we are on time to be ready at Valencia in April.”

Richard was signed by SpeedHouse during the 2023 off-season as the next young talent that the French team took for its promising young drivers academy program.

Much like former SpeedHouse academy graduates Jouffreau and Neo Lambert, Richard was placed in SpeedHouse’s Club Challenge program in order to get him used to the EuroNASCAR stock cars.

It proved to be a successful season for the 22-year old driver from Bordeaux, who won in the penultimate Club Challenge round at Oschersleben and finished runner-up in the standings after beating his more experienced teammates Alain Mosqueron and Arianna Casoli.

SpeedHouse’s announcement confirms Richard as the first driver that the French team announces for either EuroNASCAR PRO or EuroNASCAR 2 for the upcoming season. They had also signed Spanish karting star Dani Briz, but it is currently unknown on what class Briz is due to be competing.

“I would like to thank the team and Lucas for their great work with Speedhouse,” said Richard. “I am happy to work with a professional team with a great spirit. We will be ready for the EuroNASCAR 2 championship in Valencia and I want to maximize my results every race weekend.”

“During the year I was able to work and learn in a professional team with a good mood and a joy of life always on each trip and race meeting. In view of last season which went really well, I announce my commitment in EuroNASCAR 2 with an ambition to learn and to succeed the season like the one that preceded it!”

“During this winter break, we prepare as much as possible for the technical and physical side to be in shape and ready for the first meeting that will be at Valencia in Spain. See you in three months!”
