Following his participation in the Cremona DRT, Portuguese racer Nuño Caetano joins SpeedHouse to compete in the 2025 Rookie Challenge season.
A driver that has tested his skills on both two and four wheels will give EuroNASCAR a chance in 2025. Portugal’s Nuño Caetano is set to compete with SpeedHouse in the upcoming Rookie Challenge season.
A former Isle of Man TT competitor, Caetano’s interest in EuroNASCAR began when he signed up for the Recruitment Test at Cremona. Caetano was greatly impressed by the EuroNASCAR car, with the handling characteristics standing out as the biggest surprise for the 47-year old.
“I thought I was going to drive a boat, but actually this car is really powerful and fun to drive!” Caetano said back then.
Caetano also said that he would love to come back after this test. As it turns out, EuroNASCAR and Lucas Lasserre’s SpeedHouse presented Caetano with the opportunity to do just that.

Thanks in part to EuroNASCAR’s scholarship program, Caetano scoops up a full-time drive with SpeedHouse for this year’s Rookie Challenge season.
“We are delighted to welcome Nuno to Speedhouse for the 2025 Rookie Challenge season,” said Lasserre in the official announcement. “This is an important step towards the NASCAR Euro Series competition.”
“We have already proven that this is an effective method for both young talent coming from karting and drivers with diverse racing backgrounds like Nuno.”
“In five rounds, Nuno will have the opportunity to learn the basics of driving the EuroNASCAR cars and prepare for future challenges together.”

Caetano first came to notoriety in 2011, when he decided to try out the most dangerous circuit in the world: Snaefell Mountain Course. The Portuguese finished eight in his Manx Grand Prix Newcomers race, riding a Kawasaki ZX-6R.
This success set the stage for participation in the Isle of Man TT. Caetano raced in numerous IOMTT categories from 2012 to 2015, achieving a best finish of 28th in the 2015 Senior TT.
Caetano retired from road racing in 2016, but in 2018 he made his return on four wheels. The Portuguese focuses on the local rally championship, but he gave Pikes Peak a shot in both 2023 and 2024. He finished an impressive 15th in the 2024 event, completing the climb in 10:23.034.
“Thanks to the NASCAR Euro Series scholarship program, I was introduced to these amazing cars,” said Caetano to nascar.eu. “I found both enjoyment and challenge with these cars.”
“I’m not a novice, as my motorsport experience includes the Isle of Man TT and the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix. Recently, I also took part in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the legendary American race.”
“I decided to adapt to the series by joining Speedhouse in the Rookie Challenge for my first year. I immediately felt a great connection with the management and I’m eager to make my debut in Valencia.”
