Max Lanza and Roberto Benedetti continues their CAAL Racing partnership for a third season in the upcoming 2025 EuroNASCAR season.
Max Lanza and Roberto Benedetti are set for their third season together at CAAL Racing. The partnership that EuroNASCAR describes as “CAAL Racing’s finest gentlemen’s club” will continue for another year with the same team: The No. 88 Chevrolet Camaro.
Lanza and Benedetti unveiled their 2025 contenders through a season opening party organized by Lanza’s ML Management. The unveiling showcased their 2025 machine in the familiar colors of primary sponsor Avangarde Group.
“We are happy to continue working with Max and Roberto,” said CAAL Racing’s team boss Luca Canneori. “They’re two drivers who have shown talent, determination and a great passion for this sport.”
“We are preparing a very competitive car for this season and we are very motivated to bring home these two trophies. The team is ready and we can’t wait to start this new adventure together.”
Lanza will enter his fourth season in EuroNASCAR PRO. The 44-year old driver finished 18th in the standings in 2024, scoring two top-10 finishes at Valencia and Most.
Lanza is more determined than ever to win the Challenger Trophy after what transpired in 2024’s finale at Zolder. He came very close to the overall victory, ultimately finishing just three points short of Dario Caso.
“I’m ready to fight for the Challenger Trophy again and finish in the top-10 overall,” said Lanza to nascar.eu.
“Last year it was painful to lose the title in a very close manner. This year however, I am determined to leave no stone unturned and give my best in every race. The goal is clear: To win.”
For Benedetti, the goal for 2025 is to get back up to speed. Benedetti missed three rounds due to a wrist injury that he suffered at Brands Hatch, which he recovered in time for the season finale at Zolder.
Prior to his injury, Benedetti established himself as a regular top-10 contender in EuroNASCAR OPEN. This boosted the 50-year old’s confidence, who boldly stated his intentions to fight for the overall title in 2025.
“2024 was a complicated year for me because of the injury, but now I’m ready to recover and come back stronger than ever,” said Benedetti to nascar.eu.
“My goal is to fight for the overall title in the OPEN division and to grab the Legend title. That is a goal that motivates me a lot for this year.”
