Jack Davidson is ready to tackle bigger challenges in 2025 through his decision to step up to EuroNASCAR PRO with Lux Motorsport.

Jack Davidson officially announces his plan to move up to NASCAR Euro Series’ top class in 2025. Davidson will tackle bigger challenges as he is set for his first full-season in EuroNASCAR PRO.

Davidson will be staying at family team Lux Motorsport, maintaining the No. 21 and GT Omega on the side of his Chevrolet Camaro. The Scotsman’s move was officially announced on 18 January 2025, but it had already been confirmed a week before.

On 11 January, Lux made a post on social media to announce that they have an open seat in EuroNASCAR OPEN – effectively confirming the Scotsman’s PRO plans.

In addition, as previously reported, Lux will be keeping the pink livery for their machine in 2025

Davidson piloted the No. 21 car to sixth in the overall EuroNASCAR 2 standings in 2024, scoring a popular victory at Brands Hatch. He also scored five additional top-5 finishes.

With this victory and two seasons in EuroNASCAR OPEN, Davidson felt that he’s ready to challenge Europe’s best stock car racers.

Additionally, the obstacles that Davidson and Lux faced also made the Scotsman realize that rookies will face a tough challenge if they went to the top class straight away.

Therefore, he elected to step up so that new faces will be able to gain experience in EuroNASCAR’s second division first.

“It makes sense to race in PRO, not only for me, but for the team to find another rider for the OPEN championship,” said Davidson. “If they want to get into the championship, it’s hard to go straight into PRO because it’s pretty challenging, so I want to keep the OPEN spot open.”

“I have two seasons under my belt, but I also have experience in PRO. It’s going to be a tough battle because the other riders in PRO have more experience than me. The teams there also have more experience than us. However, I think we have what it takes to be competitive and race at the front.”

“I also want to gain more experience for myself. I still have a lot to learn, like tire management and stuff like that, so there’s a lot of work to do. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Junior Trophy, the sub-classification for drivers aged 25 and under, will be Davidson’s main goal for 2025. Davidson acknowledged that winning the Junior Trophy will not be easy, humbly admitting that he’s “not the fastest out there”.

“In 2025 I want to win the Junior Trophy,” adds the Scotsman. “It’s going to be a tough climb for me.”

“I will push as hard as I can. It’s going to be hard not to get angry because I’m not the fastest out there. I’m my own worst enemy, to be honest.”

“At the end of the day, it’s all about me learning and being as fast as I can. The Junior Trophy is what I’m aiming for and I just want to gain more experience.”

Despite this, Davidson also acknowledged that he and Lux Motorsport are more than happy to stay in EuroNASCAR thanks to the friendly atmosphere in the paddock.

“It’s such a pleasure to be part of the EuroNASCAR paddock with our family team,” said Davidson on his tenure with Lux so far. “Everyone is so welcoming. Everyone helps each other.”

“It’s like NASCAR in America, it has the same vibe. It’s all about the fans and getting them as close to the action and the drivers as possible. I love being part of the championship with my family team.”
