The 2025 EuroNASCAR Recruitment Tests will be relocated to Circuit de Vendée in France due to threats of snow in Germany.
Threats of snow and freezing temperatures in Germany have forced the NASCAR Euro Series to make some changes for the 2025 Recruitment Tests.
EuroNASCAR announced on 29 November 2024 that the Recruitment Tests have been relocated to Circuit de Vendée – EuroNASCAR’s traditional test track at Fontenay le Comte in France.
EuroNASCAR also announced that the Tests will be slightly postponed. Initially scheduled for 10-11 December, the Recruitment Tests will now take place on 19-20 December 2024.
The 2025 Recruitment Tests was originally planned to be held at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben in Germany. It would be the first Recruitment Tests held outside of France since 2019, had it gone through as scheduled.
Unfortunately, the cold weather threat on the day of the Tests meant that it’s impossible to safely host the event.
Data from AccuWeather predicts that temperatures would reach 0° C on 10 December, 4° lower than last year. Snow is expected to fall on 11 December with temperatures around 6° lower than 2023.
Therefore, EuroNASCAR had to relocate the Recruitment Tests to keep it going at its yearly schedule.
“The Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, home of the NASCAR Euro Series GP Germany, was scheduled to host the 2024 Recruitment Tests, but a cold wave in Germany with freezing temperatures and snow caused the event to be postponed to December 19-20,” announced EuroNASCAR.
“Temperatures expected to be around the freezing point in Germany led to the decision to relocate the event. Organization offers assistance to prospects already booked for Oschersleben to make it to the tests in France.”
