Despite a tough 2024 EuroNASCAR season, Vladimiros Tziortzis is proud of what he has achieved and looks forward to a better year in 2025.

Vladimiros Tziortzis believes that he had done everything that he could in a tough 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season, but the Cypriot is satisfied with what he had shown in the No. 1 HTFX Ford Mustang.

The EuroNASCAR Finals at Circuit Zolder was yet another mixed weekend for Tziortzis. In Race 1, a first lap incident and a further spin at the first corner relegated him down to 16th position at the finish.

However, Race 2 went smoothly for the Academy Motorsport driver. Tziortzis avoided two first corner incidents and ran a steady pace to finish in seventh, his best finish of the 2024 season.

“I proved again that, if there were fewer unlucky moments this year, I could have finished in the top five in the overall standings,” sums up Tziortzis in his press release, as reported by Cyprus Mail.

“I’m satisfied from my side for this year. As things were going, I couldn’t do anything else. I mean, when you’re with 30 other drivers and something goes wrong, you don’t know who’s going to pay for it. Unfortunately, this season in most accidents, the ball fell on me.”

The performance in Race 2 on Sunday was something that stayed closer to the No. 1 HTFX Ford’s true pace at Zolder, Tziortzis said.

He noted that Saturday was not the best day for the Academy team as he already battled with an oil leak during Qualifying.

“Since Friday we had lap times that put us inside the first 5-6 drivers,” said Tziortzis. “On Saturday morning I entered the qualifications and the car was losing oil, as a result of which I had a lot of smoke in the cockpit and I could hardly see anything.”

“There was no time to fix the problem and we decided to push with what we had. This resulted in me qualifying ninth.”

A 12th place finish in the overall standings is perhaps not what Tziortzis had expected prior to the start of the 2024 season, but he is looking ahead to do better in 2025.

The Cypriot’s press release revealed that he will continue racing next year, with further news to be announced in November.

“”I feel more ready than ever for a strong 2025 racing season,” he said, adding that further details will be revealed at a press conference next month,” Cyprus Mail wrote in their report.
