Incidents and penalties cost Bremotion the opportunity to score better results in the 2024 NASCAR GP Czech Republic at Autodrom Most.
Bremotion was left wondering at what they could’ve done after incidents and penalties prevented the German team from securing better results in the 2024 NASCAR GP Czech Republic at Autodrom Most.
Dominique Schaak brought home his first Rookie Trophy podium on the second EuroNASCAR 2 race, but Julien Rehberg and Tobias Dauenhauer both got into collisions that resulted in penalties being administered to them.
Rehberg received a penalty of 20 championship points for his role in the start crash on the first EN2 race, while Dauenhauer had a 10-second penalty in his Race 2 after he made contact with Vladimiros Tziortzis.

“The results don’t reflect our potential,” said Bremotion’s Managing Director Patrick Brenndörfer in the team’s official post-race report.
“Julien put in a strong performance in qualifying with the #77, but misjudged the first chicane and was taken out of the race early on Saturday.”
“Tobias struggled with the setup of the #99 and didn’t make it into the Superpole. At least Dominique was able to prove his talent and take home a countable result with his first rookie podium!”
Mixed fortunes was the common trend for Bremotion in Czech and it’s reflected by the performances of each driver.
For Dauenhauer, he had an up-and-down trajectory. He only put his car 12th on the grid in Qualifying, but followed this up with an eighth and ninth place result in the races.
Rehberg started his weekend strong by qualifying the No. 77 Auto Rehberg Camaro in 11th. However, he then had his Race 1 incident and Race 2 didn’t end up any better, finishing 14th and 40 seconds behind winner Martin Doubek.
Schaak, on the other hand, slowly climbed up the running order. A poor Qualifying result left the 33-year old down in 17th on Qualifying, but he kept his car clean and went on to finish 15th and 12th in the races.
The latter also saw Schaak finally finish in the Rookie Trophy podium after numerous near-misses. The driver of the No. 99 IZECC Camaro took third behind Mario Ercoli and Veeti Rajala.
“The last few laps were very tough,” said Schaak in the press release. “I pushed hard and my pace was very good. I was in fourth place five times and now I’ve finally made it onto the podium!”
Bremotion will be aiming to get things back on track in the next round at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. With the team being the defending winners of their home round, they’ll be hoping that a return to home will be the round they need to put themselves back on top.
