Reigning Legend Cars Italia champion Simone Giussani will make the switch to EuroNASCAR and make his debut with Double V Racing as their new EuroNASCAR 2 driver.
Double V Racing welcomes a new driver to their roster for the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season after they announced reigning Legend Cars Italia champion Simone Giussani as their new EuroNASCAR 2 driver.
Giussani is the first driver that the Vignale-based team confirms for the upcoming season, with more announcements to come in the near future.
Giussani’s signing is made possible with the help of Sharks Team Italia, who is a huge supporting player in EuroNASCAR in the current decade thanks to their association with teams such as Shadow Racing Cars and Race Art Technology.

“We are delighted to have Simone with us for next season,” said Double V owner Francesco Vignali to euronascar.com.
“He’s a young Italian talent from the Sharks Team Italia who will make his debut in EuroNASCAR and will certainly fight for the Rookie Trophy. A special thanks to the Sharks Team Italia that will support and manage Simone throughout the season.”

Originally competing in motocross, Giussani made the jump to four-wheel racing in recent years. Little is known of his prior racing background, but 2023 was the year where he made his breakthrough season in motorsport.
A full-time competitor in both Legends Car Italia – one of the most competitive legends car series in Europe – and being part of the EuroNASCAR paddock with the supporting EuroLegend Cup, Giussani consistently fought for the top positions and racked up multiple wins in both championships.

In the end, Giussani brought home two race wins in EuroLegend Cup and was crowned as the legends car champion of his home country onboard the Skilled Pro-sponsored No. 99 car.
These feats made him a driver with plenty of potential to unlock in stock car racing and with the support of a team that reached new highs with Patrick Schober last year, Giussani is hoping to make a great impression by winning the Rookie Trophy on his debut EN2 season.

“I want to finish in the top-10 and win the Rookie Trophy,” said Giussani. “The car is so exciting and I love the events that are full of fans hungry for pure racing and great entertainment on and off the track. I’m a racer who never gives up and my greatest strength is my consistency.”
