Vladimiros Tziortzis’ long-time personal sponsor ALCO Filters will continue to support the Cypriot for the 2024 EuroNASCAR season after a contract extension was agreed upon earlier this month.

ALCO Filters, the aftermarket filter manufacturing company from Cyprus, will continue to sponsor their countryman Vladimiros Tziortzis for the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season after both parties reached an agreement to extend their sponsorship collaboration for another year.

The news was first announced by Tziortzis on his social media accounts on 5 January, which was followed up with an official press release that was reported by CyprusMail three days later.

“ALCO Filters has been a loyal supporter of rally racing since the 1980s,” said Loizos Loucas, ALCO Filters’ Executive Director. “We have supported Vladimiros since his SMP Formula 4 debut in 2016 and we are proud of his progress since then and wish him every success in the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season.”

ALCO and Tziortzis’ eighth year of collaboration in 2023 brought out their biggest success yet as they visited the Victory Lane five times in EN2 and finished runner-up in the standings, narrowly missing out on the title by just four points.

The success from last year is going to be something that both parties would like to continue in 2024. Tziortzis has confirmed that he will be staying with Academy Motorsport for another season, once again racing the No. 5 EuroNASCAR FJ 2020 for the Italian-Monegasque team.

Tziortzis plans to compete solely in EuroNASCAR PRO, but he has yet to write out the possibility of doing double duty. The 26-year old Cypriot remains eligible to compete in EN2 as he has yet to meet the requirements for a Grade A license, which would exclude a driver from being able to compete in EuroNASCAR’s lower division.

“To be trusted by a recognised Cypriot company in the automotive sector, for me personally it is a great honor”, said Tziortzis in the press release. “I would like to thank ALCO Filters for the trust, in a year that finds me as ready as ever and my main goal of course is to win the EuroNASCAR PRO Championship.”
