Nick Strickler will race Marko Stipp Motorsport’s No. 46 Ford in EuroNASCAR 2’s season finale at Zolder after Nick Schneider suffered an injury during training.

Marko Stipp Motorsport will have a new driver for next week’s EuroNASCAR Finals at Circuit Zolder. American Nick Strickler has locked in a deal to race the No. 46 Ford Mustang in place of Nick Schneider, who sadly will miss the Belgian round due to injury during training.

Strickler announced his deal on 7 October, confirming his return to the sport after he had to end his full season participation in the 2023 EuroNASCAR season following a scary crash in the third round at Vallelunga.

“We’re going back!” announced the driver from Danville, California. “Locked in to drive for Marko Stipp Motorsport for the final race of the EuroNASCAR season.”

As for Schneider, his absence was announced by his team on 3 October. Schneider, who currently sits 14th in the standings, was understandably gutted that he wouldn’t be able to race at Zolder.

However, the Brazilian hints at a possible return to MSM in 2024 as he also wished the team and teammate Jack Davidson best of luck for their season finale.

“Marko Stipp Motorsport and Nick Schneider are sad to announce that the German-Brazilian rookie will have to sit out the conclusion of the 2023 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season due to injury,” announced MSM on their official release.

“Having sustained a ligament injury during fitness training last week, doctors advised Schneider to not step in a race car to avoid further damage and complications.”

“I’m obviously gutted to miss the most important race weekend for an injury”, adds Schneider in MSM’s official release. “I absolutely enjoyed being part of the Marko Stipp Motorsport family all year long.”

“The fact that everyone always tried their best to improve in all aspects is something I value a lot. I felt very comfortable working with everyone in the team and I know that Marko Stipp Motorsport has what it takes to fight for top positions.”

“I definitely look forward to using my acquired experience and knowledge to push the #46 car into the upper ranks in 2024! All the best of luck in Zolder for the team and for my teammate Jack who’s still fighting for the Rookie Trophy!”
