Profile:

A road course ringer and gentleman’s driver that is mainly active in the late 2000s and the mid 2010s, Kevin O’Connell became the first American driver to enter a EuroNASCAR road course race when he was invited by EuroNASCAR’s organizers Team FJ to race with Racing Club Partners for the inaugural American SpeedFest at Brands Hatch in 2013.

His participation at the SpeedFest made him just the second American driver to race in EuroNASCAR after Ben Kennedy – NASCAR’s current Senior Vice President of Racing Development and Strategy – took part in the 2012 Tours race, although O’Connell is the first American driver to officially compete in a championship EuroNASCAR round as the 2012 round at Tours was a non-championship round.
