Profile:
A rising start in open wheel with a successful pedigree on both Formula Renault 3.5 Series and IndyCar when he began transitioning to sports car racing in the early 2010’s, Bertrand Baguette made an one-off trip to stock car racing in 2013 when he participated in the fourth round of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season at Tours Speedway.
Racing with Nathalie Maillet’s Racing Club Partners in the No. 20 Toyota Camry, Baguette scored a top-10 finish on his debut before he was forced to retire in his second and final race in the series.
Baguette has since moved to Japan’s Super GT series where he has achieved plenty of success in the GT500 class, the biggest of which came in 2022 when he and Kazuki Hiramine won the GT500 driver’s championship with Calsonic Team Impul to end a 27-year Super GT title drought for one of Japan’s most legendary racing teams.
