Profile:

A talented young driver with past experience in Mitjet Series and Speed Euroseries before his career in stock car racing, Anthony Gandon’s biggest claim to fame came when he entered another Euroseries championship in 2013: the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.

Racing for TFT Racing’s No. 7 team in both classes, Gandon quickly established himself as a championship contender in EuroNASCAR 2. Four victories, nine podium finishes and a total of 11 top-5 finishes would ultimately carry Gandon to the championship title after title rival Josh Burdon suffered two costly DNF’s late in the season.

His success was rewarded with a one-off appearance in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, where he got a chance to race for Rick Ware Racing at Mid-Ohio. He remained with TFT’s No. 7 team for a full-time campaign in EuroNASCAR PRO in 2014 before he left the series at the end of the year.

In the years that followed, the Frenchman raced in Stadium Super Trucks, Championnat de France Supertourisme and historic racing before he announced his retirement from motor racing on 8 August 2017.

He might have retired at the young age of 27, but Gandon will be forever remembered as one of the most dominant champions in EuroNASCAR’s ultra competitive junior division.
