Florian Richard returns to the No. 33 Ford Mustang for a second season in EuroNASCAR OPEN with SpeedHouse Racing.
Florian Richard will have another shot at the title in EuroNASCAR OPEN. The 23-year old driver is staying with SpeedHouse Racing as the driver of the No. 33 Ford Mustang in EuroNASCAR’s second division.
The 2025 season is set to be Richard’s third season in EuroNASCAR as a whole. Richard joined SpeedHouse in 2023 as part of SpeedHouse Academy Program.
After a season in what is now called Rookie Challenge, Richard was promoted to EuroNASCAR OPEN by SpeedHouse’s team boss Lucas Lasserre. Richard got the chance to race alongside Lasserre in 2024, learning plenty from one of EuroNASCAR’s true veterans.
“I’m really happy to confirm Florian Richard onboard at SpeedHouse in EuroNASCAR OPEN!” said Lasserre in the official announcement. “This will be our third year together on our common project.
“Florian is a pure Speedhouse Academy Program rider. I put a lot of energy into making him a strong driver. Florian had a very strong season last year, finishing second in the Rookie Trophy.”
“With this experience he will definitely be on the next level this season. His attitude is always positive. He is motivated, concentrated and we have this winter to grow and become even stronger.”
As mentioned above, Richard completed a successful maiden campaign in EuroNASCAR OPEN in 2024. The Frenchman showed a combination of both good speed and good car control in his first year in the class.
Richard scored four top-10 finishes in 2024, with his highest finish being a seventh in Vallelunga. He went on to finish 11th in the standings, just missing out on the overall Rookie Trophy win by 14 points.
The Bordeaux native is also one of the only three EuroNASCAR OPEN full-timers to finish all 13 races of 2024. This feat is equalled by his teammate Arianna Casoli and Team Bleekemolen’s Michael Bleekemolen.
For Richard, racing is not just about getting good results. The son of former Dakar Rally competitor Thierry Richard also wants continue to travel around Europe and experience the beauty of the world with his racing adventures.
“This winter, we have been preparing to be at the top of our game both physically and mentally,” said Richard in the official announcement. “It’s a physically demanding sport that requires perfect preparation. We will be ready for the season.”
“My goals for 2025 are clear: To travel around Europe through motorsport, my passion since I was young. Thanks to the SpeedHouse junior program led by Lucas, I want to continue to develop and aim for a top spot in the standings.”
“After a year in OPEN, I feel ready for a return in this same category to improve myself. I would like to honor the trust of my partners and that of my entourage, who support me and help me tirelessly.”
