Cayan Chianca and Felipinho Tozzo will be staying in NASCAR Brasil Series for 2025, joining R.Mattheis Motorsport and Team RC respectively.
The first pieces of the driver market puzzle in the 2025 NASCAR Brasil Series season has been revealed. Cayan Chianca and Felipinho Tozzo have both announced their plan to stay in NASCAR Brasil for 2025.
Chianca, a multiple-time race winner in 2024, will be joining R.Mattheis Motorsport while Tozzo will move to Team RC.
Chianca’s contract signing with R.Mattheis was announced on 6 December 2024. The Rio Grande resident aims to continue his winning ways after he scored five overall race wins in 2024, the most out of any driver.
“It is with great pride that we will have the young and promising driver Cayan Chianca racing for our team in 2025,” said R.Mattheis’ founder and team boss Rodolpho Mattheis.
“Cayan is a young driver who has already proven his speed, coolness and maturity to fight with the big names in the NASCAR Brasil category. We are very confident that we can join forces to fight for the NASCAR Brasil 2025 title.”
Felipinho’s move to Team RC was made public on 20 December 2024. The son of Copa Truck racer Felipe Tozzo will bring the No. 57 to his new team for the upcoming season.
“We are very happy with the arrival of Felipinho, a boy who is at the start of his career,” said Marcel Campos, manager of Team RC.
“We know how talented he is and we want to help him develop. We’re going to work to achieve great results in NASCAR this year.”
Felipinho stepped up his game in 2024, taking home two wins in the Challenge division. However, numerous retirements cost him a shot at the division title, which was ultimately won by Victor Andrade.
Felipinho acknowledged this issue in the official announcement, stating that his goal would be to improve his consistency for 2025.
“My goal is to have a constant season with good results,” said Felipinho. “I want to reach the end of the year with a chance at the title. The expectations are very high, given that the team is one of the best in the country.”
