Max Lanza and Roberto Benedetti were satisfied with the results from Valencia after scoring multiple top-10 and Trophy podium finishes in Spain.
The CAAL Racing No. 88 Chevrolet pairing of Max Lanza and Roberto Benedetti were happy with their results from the 2024 Valencia NASCAR Fest after they scored a combined total of three top-10 finishes and four Trophy podiums.
Lanza visited the Challenger Trophy podium twice by finishing 13th and ninth in the two EuroNASCAR PRO races. As for Benedetti, ninth and tenth place finishes were enough to secure two Legend Trophy podiums in EuroNASCAR 2.

Lanza also managed to survive the Big One in the second ENPRO race despite being in the middle of the pack, admitting that he was “lucky” to get away from it unscathed.
“What a weekend! I survived the Big One at the start of Race 2, I really don’t know where I passed through but I did it! You couldn’t see anything and there was debris everywhere, we were good and lucky in that moment,” said Lanza on the first lap pile-up.

“On Saturday’s race I felt good, we recovered some positions and we finished at the edge of the top-10,” added Lanza, who is 12th in the ENPRO standings. “In Race 2 it went even better and, in front of an audience like this, it takes on even more meaning.”
“The ninth position under the checkered flag is an excellent result which makes me confident for the rest of the season. I’m definitely aiming for the Challenger Trophy, here in Valencia we climbed to the second step of the podium twice but we will never forget the overall classification.”

Benedetti’s weekend started slowly with a 14th place finish in the combined Practice times but picked up steam in Qualifying by setting the ninth fastest time. He remained in the hunt for the top-10 positions for the races and with his results, the 49-year old is now ninth in the standings.
“We were fast and concrete throughout the weekend, constantly in the top-10 and with a little bit more luck, we could have brought home a little better result,” said Benedetti on the Spain round. “I’m very satisfied and the CAAL Racing guys once again did an excellent job because the car was very fast.”
