NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will update their EuroNASCAR stock cars with the 2024 Evo package that is designed to improve drivability and driver comfort.
EuroNASCAR Management Group, led by series organizers Team FJ and NASCAR, will be introducing a series of changes that will be implemented to the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series stock cars via the 2024 Evo package.
Announced on 31 January 2024, the Evo package provides a major update to the current “Next Level” generation of cars that has been used since 2016.
The Evo package aims to improve drivability and driver comfort, with more than 1,500 kilometers of testing being done to ensure that it’s ready for the season opening round at Valencia.

“We always put the best efforts into making our EuroNASCAR product bigger and better every year, both for the competitors and the fans. I am confident that with this evolution package we will hit a new high for NASCAR in Europe,” said EuroNASCAR founder, President and CEO Jerome Galpin.
The changes are sweeping and address all aspects of its drivability. Handling is touched upon a lot as EuroNASCAR made two updates to the suspension system of the stock car.

First, a modified front suspension spindle is introduced to provide a better steering geometry angle. A new rear spring package is also made available, with it being designed to improve power delivery and traction at corner exit.
To aid the suspension changes, a new three-point caliper bracket for the front brakes is also going to be introduced. Aimed to improve the stopping capability, this new bracket will provide a stronger fitting to the brake calipers.

Driver comfort is another topic that the 2024 Evo package aims to address after drivers and teams suffered from an extreme heat wave during the 2023 American Festival of Rome at Vallelunga, a condition that series veteran Marc Goossens described as the hottest condition he has ever been in his 30+ year-long career.
Similar to the way that NASCAR in the United States addresses the cooling conundrums of the current Next Gen / Generation 7 car, EuroNASCAR will be introducing both a roof ventilation and a set of hood louvers to reduce excess heat from the machine.

Unlike the Cup Series, EuroNASCAR’s roof ventilation will take shape in the form of an actual roof scoop.
Inspired by the roof scoops used in rallying – an expertise that Team FJ had known through its rallying background – and made out of carbon fiber, it should provide drivers with much needed fresh air when the heat starts to become unbearable.

A speed limiter system is also introduced, a distinction that made EuroNASCAR a likely contender for being the first stock car series in the world to introduce a system that’s ubiquitous in nearly all forms of motorsport.
There are two settings of speed limiter that a driver can select, one for the pit lane speed limit and one for Full Course Yellow conditions.
EuroNASCAR’s official oil supplier and long-time series partner Kennol is also in the action, working together with the series to improve engine durability by providing all series competitors with its new Ultimate 20W60 lubricants.

Last but not least, EuroNASCAR confirms that the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse decal set will be made available to all teams running the Ford body style.
This change has been previously revealed during the 2024 Autosport International Show, being used by the No. 16 Ford Mustang two-seater car that Galpin and Lux Motorsport’s Jack Davidson drove in the Live Action Arena show runs.
