Ryan Vargas and 3F Racing has announced that they will be competing in next week’s NASCAR GP Germany with the No. 30 Critical Path Security Chevrolet Camaro.
A high profile competitor from the United States will be taking part in next week’s NASCAR GP Germany. Ryan Vargas, Xfinity and Truck Series regular and Head of Team and Driver Development for German team 3F Racing, announced yesterday that he and his team are joining the grid for EuroNASCAR’s first visit to the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
Vargas will be racing the No. 30 Chevrolet Camaro in the top EuroNASCAR PRO division with Critical Path Security as the primary sponsor. Vargas and Critical Path will also join forces for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Talladega, held a week after Euro’s Oschersleben round.
Vargas’ entry will be fielded with the help of Team Bleekemolen, who has agreed to field the No. 30 Chevrolet as a satellite entry for the Dutch squad. This is a similar arrangement to what Panasport and RDV Competition had during the NASCAR GP Italy at Vallelunga.

“I am incredibly humbled to make the trip to Germany to run in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Race with my friends at 3F Racing,” said Vargas to EuroNASCAR.com.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to race overseas and to do that with the support of my friends at Critical Path Security makes it all the more special. I’ve been a fan of the series for quite some time and the idea of taking on a new challenge in a whole different car and track is an exciting one.”
According to Joseph Srigley from TobyChristie.com, 3F’s entry to Oschersleben will be done as a joint venture between the team and Team FJ, the organizers of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series.
The joint venture aims to further establish 3F’s Driver Development program, which has given drivers such as Max Mason a chance to test in the United States oval racing scene.
“It’s an honor to finally hit the track with 3F Racing on their home turf,” said the 23-year old driver from La Mirada, California. “The process of helping them expand their footprint in the US with the Late Model program has been a fun project to say the least, and I firmly believe that us making this race happen will only bring more eyes to the program.”

This news serves as a positive step forward for 3F Racing, who is aspiring to become the first German team to race in the NASCAR Cup Series. 3F is formed by Dennis Hirtz, who had plenty of experience in motorsport thanks to his past duties as a Marketing Director for famed DTM team Phoenix Racing – no relation to the American Phoenix Racing team.
The team has signed an agreement with Richard Childress Racing to place their American base in RCR’s campus and signed Vargas earlier on July to prepare the necessary building blocks for a future Cup Series campaign.
Despite sharing a venue with top contenders such as Gianmarco Ercoli, Lucas Lasserre and Anthony Kumpen, Vargas’ goal is to simply keep his car out of trouble while also promoting both 3F Racing and NASCAR during the 23-24 September weekend.

“I’m not going over there expecting to set the world on fire by any means,” adds Vargas to NASCAR.com. “I want to show what 3F Racing is trying to do with their development program and bring some eyes to the international crowd.”
“NASCAR is always trying to grow their footprint across the world, especially with the Garage 56 entry at Le Mans, so there’s no better time than now to try something completely unorthodox.”
