Patrick Schober will continue his participation in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series with the No. 27 Ford Mustang after he announced his contract extension with Double V Racing on 4 April 2023.
Schober, who was born in Spain but is based in Slovakia and races with an Austrian racing license, made his debut last year in the EuroNASCAR 2 division as the newest signing to Pierluigi Veronesi and Francesco Vignali’s squad.

With plenty of testing in his hands thanks to his family team Procar Motorsport being able to acquire a Ford Mustang chassis that Schober regularly made outings with in his home track Slovakia Ring, Schober was able to secure five top-10 finishes on his way to finish tenth in the 2022 EuroNASCAR 2 overall standings.
Having proved that he had both speed and consistency – he finished all but one race of last year, with his sole DNF coming in a first-lap incident on the Saturday race at Autodrom Most – on his debut season, Schober is ready to step up his game for his sophomore season in the sport.

“I want to be on the podium at some of the races in the 2023 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season and fight for a spot in the top 5 overall,” said Schober to euronascar.com.
Schober is noted for his high versatility at a young age. In addition to his top-10 standings finish last year, the highly talented racer has secured numerous regional Formula 4 championship wins and race wins in touring cars prior to joining EuroNASCAR.

The EuroNASCAR stock cars have certainly left a lasting impression on the 19-year old driver, who is committed to show what he can do against some of the best young and amateur talents in European stock car racing this year.
“I really love the EuroNASCAR show and the pure racing with these unique and powerful cars. It’s amazing to fight for positions with other drivers in equal cars. In EuroNASCAR, the driver can really make a difference. I’m looking forward to racing again when the season starts in Spain, the country where I was born.”
