Vict Motorsport will continue their long-lasting participation in NASCAR Whelen Euro Series for 2021 after it was announced that Vict and Scuderia Speed Motor will be working together to field the No. 8 Camaro with Dario Caso and Paolo Valeri as their drivers.

Despite heavy speculation that the team will be exiting the series after Jacques Villeneuve and Patrick Lemarié’s FEED Racing academy ended their co-ownership deal with the team, Vict Motorsport will continue their participation in NASCAR Whelen Euro Series after it was announced on May 6 that they will continue to field the No. 8 Camaro for the upcoming 2021 season.

The announcement reveals that Vict will be working together with fellow Italian team Scuderia Speed Motor to field the team’s entry in 2021. Dario Caso, now the sole primary owner of the team, will continue to drive the No. 8 car in EuroNASCAR PRO for his sixth consecutive season in the sport.

Accompanying Caso in the No. 8 car is Paolo Valeri, the 42-year old driver that will make his series debut this year. Valeri will be replacing Alessandro Brigatti as the team’s EuroNASCAR 2 class driver after Brigatti decided to compete in the newly-established BMW M2 CS Racing Cup Italia.

Caso, Valeri, and Vict recently went to Vallelunga to test their car as preparation for the season-opening round at Valencia. Valeri notes that he felt impressed with how the car performed during the test at Vallelunga.

“It was an excellent test,” said Valeri on the test at Vallelunga. “The car satisfied me with its performance and I’ve already continued to lower my time. It’s a very ′′physical′′ car, which commits you [to drive to its limit].”

“As for the first season, like every debutant, I’ll live a year in the name of experience to accumulate and I’ll have an excellent tutor in Dario Caso.”

Vict Motorsport’s late entry announcement meant that it is expected that a minimum of 29 cars will be entering the season-opening round at Valencia across all classes. Vict will be joining the 26 cars that were announced as part of the provisional entry list, Double V’s new entry, and Not Only Motorsport’s third car as the scheduled participants of the 2021 season.
