NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will continue its yearly tradition of visiting the famous Goodwood Circuit after it was announced that Team FJ will be bringing one of the EuroNASCAR-spec Toyota Camry to the United Kingdom for the Goodwood Speedweek this weekend.

NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and Team FJ once again returns to the Goodwood Circuit as the series confirms that they will be bringing the No. 18 M&M’s Toyota Camry show car to this weekend’s Goodwood Speedweek.

“We are really happy to be part of this great event once again and we want to thank the Duke of Richmond and Gordon for the invitation to the Goodwood Speedweek,” said series President and CEO Jerome Galpin.

“We are proud to carry the NASCAR, Mars and M&M’s brands on our #18 EuroNASCAR car and we are happy to welcome Nick Padmore aboard. This will be a unique event and I invite our EuroNASCAR fans from all over the world to watch live and enjoy the thunder of NASCAR around the Goodwood Motor Circuit.”

The No. 18 car, which was driven by NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series driver Todd Gilliland last year, will be driven by three-time FIA Masters Historic Formula One champion Nick Padmore.

“I can’t wait! It’s going to be a wonderful new challenge and the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is a very popular series, I hope one day I’ll get a race in the championship,” said Padmore to euronascar.com.

“Representing Mars and NASCAR at Goodwood is a dream come true for me, it’s going to be a pretty busy weekend. Driving around the circuit with the Shootout format will be new for everyone, the key at such a high-speed track will be to carry the speed through the corners. It will be all about momentum, the EuroNASCAR car has a lot of torque and grunt and I’m sure it’s going to be great fun!”

Goodwood Speedweek itself is a one-off event done by the Goodwood Estate to continue their yearly tradition of showcasing the best of motor racing after the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival was cancelled due to the pandemic.

According to its official website, Goodwood Speedweek will be combining the best elements of the Festival of Speed and Revival into a one-off, interactive, and unmissable motorsport and technology extravaganza.

Goodwood Speedweek itself will be streamed live on speedweek.goodwood.com starting from Friday morning 09:15 AM local time (UTC +1). Drivers such as Dario Franchitti, Tom Kristensen, Andre Lotterer, and Sir Jackie Stewart will be participating in the Speedweek runs, while personalities such as Mark Webber and Rory Reid will be hosting the entertainment stream that the Speedweek is hosting this weekend.
