A gentleman driver who previously competed in various sports car racing categories such as VLN, KTM X-Bow GT4 Series and Porsche Sports Cup, Matthias Hauer made his NASCAR debut when he joined CAAL Racing for a full-season campaign in the team’s No. 44 car in the Elite 1 class. After CAAL released him in the pre-season, Hauer joined Lucas Lasserre’s Speedhouse stable and will return with a part-time campaign in the Speedhouse 64 team for this season. Hauer will be driving the No. 64 Speedhouse / Benahavis Chevrolet SS at Brands Hatch and the final two rounds of the season at Hockenheim and Zolder.
