EuroNASCAR 2 – Pole Sitters by Age
Within NASCAR Whelen Euro Series, Europe’s premier division of stock car racing, it is important for drivers and teams to score a pole position to maximize their chances of winning a race.
A total of 43 different drivers have scored a pole position in the top EuroNASCAR 2 division since the first season of NASCAR Whelen Euro Series under official NASCAR sanctioning in 2012.
Listed below are the drivers that have scored a pole position in the EuroNASCAR 2 class in order of their ages when they scored their first and last pole positions. Only drivers whose birthday dates are known are eligible for this list.
The list excludes races that are not considered as part of the official championship calendar, such as the 2012 exhibition race at Tours and the two Trofeo Angelo Caffi tournaments.
NOTE : The list shown below are correct as of the end of the 2024 Valencia NASCAR Fest at Circuit Ricardo Tormo. Drivers shown in “bold” are drivers that have competed in at least one (1) EuroNASCAR 2 race of the 2024 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season.

YOUNGEST POLE SITTERS
Thomas Ferrando is the youngest pole sitter in EuroNASCAR 2. Ferrando was 17 years and 8 days old when he scored his first pole position in the first race of the 2014 Nürburgring 200, held at the Nürburgring.
Philippe Marie, the pole sitter for Race 1 of the 2012 Brands Hatch 200, is excluded from the list because his birthday date is unknown.

OLDEST POLE SITTERS
Eric Quintal is the oldest pole sitter in EuroNASCAR 2. Quintal was 48 years and 105 days old when he secured his final pole position in the second race of the 2012 Valencia SemiFinals at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
Because the second race of the 2012 Valencia SemiFinals was an Endurance race, Quintal’s pole was achieved from the results of his teammate Ander Vilariño in the EuroNASCAR PRO half of the race.
Philippe Marie, the pole sitter for Race 1 of the 2012 Brands Hatch 200, is excluded from the list because his birthday date is unknown.
