Profile:

Born in Algeria, Rayane Ait-Adjedjou moved to Spain and settled in the city of Valencia at some point before the 2016 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season began at Valencia’s own Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

Ait-Adjedjou’s prior racing history is unknown, but it was good enough for SPV Racing to sign him up for the 2016 Valencia NASCAR Fest. Originally, he was assigned as teammate of Borja García in the No. 1 car. However, he ultimately raced the No. 69 BandSports Ford during the race weekend.

The jump to EuroNASCAR machinery was a big one for the Algerian. Unfortunately, Ait-Adjedjou was struggling in the back of the field, but he managed to finish both races.

Information on his racing career after the one-off EuroNASCAR start is just as scarce. However, it is known that Ait-Adjedjou established EKRCorals, a Spanish company specializing in the supply of live corals, material for public aquariums and private installations, in 2020. EKRCorals is still in business today and is also integrated as part of AIZA (Asociación Ibérica de Zoos y Acuarios).

While his stock car racing career was brief, it was notable for one reason. Ait-Adjedjou became the first and as of 2024, still the only African driver to have ever raced in EuroNASCAR.
