Profile:

After 10 years of racing experience in karting where by his own admission it was difficult to earn strong results due to a considerable lack of seat time compared to his rivals, Andre Castro made his racing career debut in 2016 in the Skip Barber Racing Series, where he accumulated three wins, six poles, and 10 podiums in his debut racing season. Moving up to USF2000 in 2017 with Newman Wachs Racing, he unfortunately had to step away after just 4 races despite some promising results due to a lack of funding.

After sitting out for a year and adjusting to life in college as a student of University of Chicago, Castro made his first interaction to the Euro Series after he found out about the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series Recruitment Program in the internet last year. After participating in both 2019 Recruitment Day testing sessions, he met Anthony Kumpen of PK Carsport, who would give Castro an opportunity to make his NASCAR Whelen Euro Series debut in the No. 24 Quatra Chevrolet Camaro for PK Carsport in the Elite 2 class.
