“Following six phenomenal events across the continent, the passionate fans have spoken, awarding the final two prestigious trophies of the year: the Most Popular Driver Award,” EuroNASCAR announced on 1 December 2025.
“In a commanding victory, Paul Jouffreau soared to the top of the PRO championship, securing an impressive 36.7 percent of the total fan vote. Meanwhile, Claudio Cappelli captured the OPEN win, earning a stellar 21.8 percent and the hearts of the supporters.”
Jouffreau’s victory meant that he successfully defended his status as EuroNASCAR PRO’s Most Popular Driver, having already won the award in the social media-based voting that took place in 2024.
The Frenchman is notable for having a group of dedicated supporters that traveled together to selected EuroNASCAR rounds.
For the 2025 season, his fanbase traveled to the season opener at Valencia and the finale in Zolder. Their appearance in Valencia meant that they got the chance to celebrate together with Jouffreau after he crossed the finish line first in the first race of the year.
In addition to winning the EuroNASCAR OPEN votes, Cappelli also finished second in the EuroNASCAR PRO fan vote. The Italian trailed Jouffreau behind with 17.4 percent of the votes received.
Cappelli’s win in the votes solidified his status as one of the series’ most beloved competitors. Cappelli, a full-timer since 2022, gained a cult following among the fanbase thanks to his beard, friendly personality, and balls-to-the-wall driving style.
NASCAR Euro Series also revealed the top-5 finishers of the fan votes across both divisions. Surprisingly, neither Vittorio Ghirelli and Gianmarco Ercoli made the cut in EuroNASCAR PRO.
The final podium position for EuroNASCAR PRO’s MPD votes was filled by Garrett Lowe, who had 12.1 percent of the votes. Davit Kajaia and Vladimiros Tziortzis completed the top-5 with 10.4 and 5.5 percent respectively.
EuroNASCAR OPEN had a very tight decider for the MPD podium positions, with only 0.01 percent separating second and third placed drivers.
Florian Richard of SpeedHouse took home second with 11.3 percent, narrowly fending off Team Georgia’s Sandro Tavartkiladze who scored 11.2 percent of the votes.
Newly crowned EuroNASCAR OPEN champion Thomas Krasonis made the top-5 cut in fourth position. With 9.4 percent of the votes received, the Greek bested Jouffreau’s teammate Patrick Schober, who completed the rankings with 7.6 percent of the votes.
