Czech fans will have two drivers to root for in next week’s round at Most courtesy of Michal Makeš being announced as part of Team Bleekemolen in EuroNASCAR PRO.

NASCAR Euro Series welcomes a new addition to the grid for next week’s NASCAR GP Czech Republic. Former TCR Eastern European champion Michal Makeš joined the series after he announced his signing with Team Bleekemolen on 22 August 2025.

Makeš is set to race the No. 76 Toyota Camry in EuroNASCAR PRO. The 25-year old will be joined by Michael Bleekemolen in the EuroNASCAR OPEN division.

Makeš will become just the second Czech driver to race in EuroNASCAR. In fact, Makeš wanted to join EuroNASCAR because of the exploits from the first Czech driver: Martin Doubek, the two-time EuroNASCAR OPEN champion.

“I saw Martin Doubek racing in the NASCAR Euro Series,” said Makeš to nascar.eu. “I have known about NASCAR for a very long time and I have watched the races in Europe in the past, so it was nothing new to me.”

“After racing touring and GT cars, I wanted to experience as many series as possible, and I had always been interested in NASCAR. It’s great that it worked out, and I had a lot of fun in the car.”

“It’s a new step for me, and I’m looking forward to trying it. My goal is to finish the 2025 season and potentially compete full-time in the 2026 season.”

When asked why he chose to go to the top class straight away, Makeš said that he did so because he wants to experience what it’s like to be with the best stock car drivers in Europe.

“I want to be in the toughest competition from the outset,” explains Makeš. “That is why I’m racing in PRO. I’m hoping to be on the podium, or at least in the top three, but it’s also about gaining experience and having fun.”

To prepare for his debut at Autodrom Most, Makes and Team Bleekemolen visited Circuit Zolder to shakedown the No. 76 Toyota Camry. The No. 76 car can be differentiated from its Bleekemolen counterparts through the red secondary color trim.

“I felt really good in the car during the test, and I hope to maintain that momentum,” said Makeš about the test. “My main goal is to gain experience this year so that I can be competitive in the coming season.”

Team boss Sebastiaan Bleekemolen expressed a positive impression for Makeš, who he described as an “experienced driver” in spite of his stock car rookie status.

Sebastiaan will continue to race the white trimmed No. 69 Toyota in EuroNASCAR PRO. He and Makeš will be joined by Bruno Mulders, racing the yellow trimmed No. 72 Toyota.

“It’s cool to have an experienced driver in the team for the PRO championship,” said Sebastiaan to nascar.eu. “We have a strong line-up because Bruno [Mulders] will finish the season competing in both divisions.”

“Michal does not have much experience in NASCAR but he has driven a lot of different cars. GT3, GT4, TCR and so on. I’m pretty sure he will have the pace right from the beginning.”

“Although Most is his home race, he doesn’t know the track that well, but we always had strong cars here and we can use a lot of data. I have high expectations.”
