Marko Stipp Motorsport was given the chance to let their EuroNASCAR machines roar once again in the 2025 Reisbrennen festival at Lausiztring.
Germany’s annual JDM and import car festival Reisbrennen welcomes a surprise guest for its 2025 edition. Marko Stipp Motorsport, one of the two NASCAR Euro Series teams hailing from Germany, was invited to Reisbrennen to host taxi rides with their fleet of EuroNASCAR machines.
The 2025 Reisbrennen took place from 31 July to 3 August at Lausitzring, home of Germany’s sole high-speed oval track. It is the 21st edition of the event, which has run uninterrupted since 2005.
Marko Stipp Motorsport’s Reisbrennen appearance was announced on 16 July, marking the first big appearance for the team since the 2025 EuroNASCAR season opener at Valencia.
MSM’s appearance was hyped by Reisbrennen as “No Show Cars – Real NASCAR!”. It was a fitting tagline, as MSM brought all three of their 2025 season cars for the taxi ride at Lausitzring.
Two MSM cars were sent to the track in a 20-minute interval. This interval was agreed upon so that fans can have their seat properly fitted before each run. It also gave organizers time to alternate the track use with other taxi ride providers, such as VLN team Ring Racing with their two Toyota Supra GT4’s.
MSM worked together with V8 Oval Series team Bachor Racingteam to make the EuroNASCAR taxi ride into reality. Philipp Bachor, Bachor’s owner-driver, was in charge of driving one of MSM’s cars at Reinbrenner.
American Mike Wise joined Bachor as the taxi ride pilot. Wise is currently contracted for the German team, having already competed with MSM back in Valencia.
“It was a great experience to participate in Reisbrennen,” said MSM team manager Chris Liemann after the event. “Despite the event’s focus on Asian cars, it was nice to see the NASCAR crossover to be received so well by the fans.”
“We could see the big interest in NASCAR and our NASCAR taxi guests loved every second of the experience.”
Liemann also used the opportunity to provide EuroNASCAR fans with an update on how MSM is approaching the second half of the 2025 EuroNASCAR season.
Liemann acknowledged that their 2025 campaign had been “jinxed”, owing to the unexpected release of the majority of their drivers after Valencia and plans to enter NASCAR Oval GP with Wise was scrapped due to the round’s cancellation.
However, Liemann is confident that MSM will be able to work together a deal to race in their home round at Oschersleben. The 2025 NASCAR GP Germany is scheduled to take place on 20-21 September.
“Regarding the 2025 EuroNASCAR season, so far it’s been somewhat jinxed for us and it’s not a piece of cake to find drivers and restart amidst the season. However it’s our goal for 2025 to be on the grid at least for our German home race at Oschersleben,” expressed Liemann.
