Club Motorsport announced their plans to enter the No. 22 Chevrolet Camaro for Giovanni Faraonio and Valerio Marzi at Vallelunga.

Club Motorsport brings back their second car for the first time since the 2024 NASCAR GP Germany. The Italian team is set to field the No. 22 Chevrolet Camaro alongside its mainstay No. 55 car for their home race next week.

Club will promote Giovanni Faraonio to EuroNASCAR PRO for Vallelunga. Faraonio will be joined by Valerio Marzi, who will make his first start for Club in EuroNASCAR OPEN.

“Double power at their home race!” announced EuroNASCAR on social media on 9 May 2025. “Club Motorsport expands to two cars for the upcoming NASCAR Euro Series round at Vallelunga!”

“Fabrizio Armetta will race in EuroNASCAR PRO in the #55 car, while Giovanni Faraonio (PRO) & Valerio Marzi (OPEN) will share the #22 car.”

Both Faraonio and Marzi have made part-time appearances in EuroNASCAR OPEN. Marzi was the first to make his debut, making two appearances in 2023 for Vict Motorsport.

The Italian showed promise after he finished in an impressive eighth place in Race 1 at Autodrom Most. This was confirmed when he returned at Vallelunga the following year. Once again he fought competitively and took home a seventh place finish as the top Rookie Trophy driver in Race 2.

Faraonio made his first appearance exactly one round later at Brands Hatch. Acting as Romagnoli’s teammate in the then-No. 43 team, Faraonio put up two strong races on his stock car racing debut.

He returned for the 2024 Playoffs at Oschersleben, but results were hard to come by. A 21st place finish in Race 1 was followed by a retirement in Race 2 due to an early crash.

Despite this setback, Faraonio’s performance was enough in the eyes of team owner Fabrizio Armetta. Armetta will give the 56-year old the chance to race against EuroNASCAR’s best for his first home race in the sport.
