Patrick Schober signs a contract extension with RDV Competition to signal his intention to win the EuroNASCAR OPEN title in 2025.

Patrick Schober is ready for another assault at the EuroNASCAR OPEN title in 2025. The Austrian will once again chase for the cup with RDV Competition, with whom he finished runner-up in the 2024 standings.

Schober’s 2024 campaign was nothing short of impressive. While Schober only took two wins in 2024, the Austrian is easily the closest challenger for Martin Doubek over the course of the season.

A total of two wins, four more podiums and 11 total top-10 finishes gave Schober a runner-up finish in the championship. Naturally, he wants to make it one step better for 2025.

“I’m really happy to be back on the grid with RDV Competition,” Schober said to nascar.eu. “Our goal is to dominate the competition.”

“I was runner-up last season, but this year I want to move up a position and become OPEN champion. None of this would be possible without the support of my parents and Motorsportaktiv.”

“I’m also grateful to Franck and the whole RDV Competition team for trusting me to drive the #3 Ford. We have big goals and we will do everything possible to achieve them.”

RDV’s team boss Franck Violas is happy to retain Schober in the OPEN seat for 2025. The Frenchman believes that his team has a real chance to score their third consecutive Teams title with Schober and his PRO teammate Paul Jouffreau.

Violas also revealed that RDV will have a driver competing in Rookie Challenge. Karting star Yann Cristovao has been signed by RDV after he impressed in the January Recruitments Test at Fontenay.

“Patrick Schober will team up with our PRO driver Paul Jouffreau,” comments Violas to nascar.eu. “He was runner-up in the OPEN category with us last year and has the potential to win the title. It would be our third in this division.”

“For the Rookie Challenge, RDV Competition has signed a young karting driver, Yann Cristovao. He’s 17 years old and comes from Portugal.”

“He has already shown his maturity in our winter preparation program under the guidance of our instructor and EuroNASCAR legend Frederic Gabillon. Gabillon has prepared him in the best way for the first event of the year.”
