Gil Linster hints at a possible team switch after he said to Leadlap that he’s “certainly not going to be in car #50” in 2025.

Gil Linster is seemingly destined to find a new home in the 2025 EuroNASCAR season. After two seasons with Hendriks Motorsport, Linster revealed to Andre Wiegold on Leadlap that he’s “certainly not going to be in car #50” for this year.

Both Linster and teammate Liam Hezemans have stayed pretty quiet during the off-season. The two teammates, who drove the No. 50 Hendriks Motorsport Toyota in 2024, took their time to figure out their plans.

For Liam, that remains the case as of the writing of this article. There are a few mysterious teasers that the Dutchman recently published on social media, but otherwise it’s not known where he’s heading just yet.

Linster, however, was approached by Wiegold recently to ask for their status for 2025. After a recent historic car racing outing in Spa, Linster told Leadlap about his plans in the upcoming season.

“I’m certainly not going to be in car number 50, but I can’t reveal any more yet,” said Linster, hinting at a possible team switch in 2025.

“You still have to be a little more patient. However, I would be interested in what the fans think about what I’m going to do this season.”

Linster have a relatively challenging campaign with Hendriks in 2024. The speed is undoubtedly there, but he received one bad luck after another. The string of bad lucks prevented him from becoming a title challenger in EuroNASCAR OPEN.

Despite scoring a victory at Valencia and five more podiums, the 31-year old finished seventh in the standings. Linster was third entering the double points finale at Zolder, but a costly retirement in Race 1 relegated him to seventh.

On the plus side, Linster also had an impressive outing in the ARCA race at Daytona. He kept his Kimmel Racing Ford clean and came home with a seventh place finish on his maiden start at the famous superspeedway.
