A message from our owner Reza Maulana on World of EuroNASCAR’s updated looks and what to expect from the website in the new future.
Hello to all readers,
As you might’ve heard, EuroNASCAR is rebranding itself into the NASCAR Euro Series for 2025. Things will look completely different for the series next year: New generation of cars, new mandated technologies, rebranded class names and more.
The “new era” for EuroNASCAR has inspired me to also make large scale changes to the website that I have dedicated plenty of my time to in the past five and a half years: World of EuroNASCAR.
WordPress.com has been hosting World of EuroNASCAR fine in the past, but it had its limits. This limitation does not suit what I want for the future and therefore, I have switched the website’s hosting registration to Zume as their platform fits our needs nicely.
Once the switch was completed, the next step was to change World of EuroNASCAR’s looks as the appearance that we used in the past five and half years has a major drawback: The system isn’t suited for responsiveness.
It feels clunky to make elements fit into mobile browsers and with a complete lack of plugin options, I wasn’t able to truly make it responsive.
Understanding that most of our readers prefer to read World of EuroNASCAR on mobile devices, this change addresses that: This new look makes the website not only feel more responsive, but also more interactive as well.
The redesign has its limits, however. Let’s just say that there’s some “translation” issues that we had between the old and new appearance.
More importantly, changing all of it will take a lot of time, because we have published 700+ reports and more than 150 pages over the course of the last five years and a half.
As much as I want everything fully ready for this unveiling, there’s simply no time to do so. As the sole person working on World of EuroNASCAR, updating every single report and page under maintenance mode would take an unreasonably long time.
Therefore, I have decided to leave some things temporarily unchanged for the time being. Rest assured that it’s in my plan to get everything updated as soon as I possibly can.
Related to this is an elephant in the room that I want to address: Running costs.
It is not cheap to be able to run a project like this and we have seen some notable independents such as The Checkered Flag saying their farewells for not being able to keep up to the economic demands.
Ideally I want to keep this website as ad-free as possible, but this is sadly unfeasible. With my desire to keep World of EuroNASCAR as one of the leading websites for NASCAR Euro Series coverage, some decisions have to be made.
You might’ve noticed that there’s advertising placements in both the sidebar and the home page. This is one of the decisions that I can unveil, as I’ve decided to open some premium advertising spaces that can be taken by businesses interested in supporting our future.
More info on this can be seen at https://worldofeuronascar.com/advertising/.
And with that, World of EuroNASCAR has officially started its own new era. It’s a future full of possibilities and I’m excited to see what World of EuroNASCAR can do for the future.
As always, I have my gratitudes to everyone that has been reading and supporting our content throughout all these years. Your support has allowed me to reach places that I wouldn’t have thought to be possible.
Best regards,
Reza Maulana
