American SpeedFest will be part of the EuroNASCAR schedule for the next five seasons after EuroNASCAR and MotorSport Vision agreed on a contract extension that was signed yesterday.

The roaring V8 thunder of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series is back at Brands Hatch for this weekend. The series’ return to its most popular venue on the calendar was made sweeter with the confirmation that American SpeedFest will remain as an official EuroNASCAR round for the next five seasons.

The news was made official yesterday after Team FJ, NASCAR Whelen Euro Series’ organizer, and SpeedFest organizers MotorSport Vision (MSV) announced their contract extension. The new contract meant that Brands Hatch will be the home of NASCAR GP UK until 2028 at least.

“Brands Hatch has always been one of the highlights of the NWES calendar,” said EuroNASCAR founder, President and CEO Jerome Galpin in the official release. “We work perfectly together with MSV and especially with David Willey and his team.”

“In the past ten years, the American SpeedFest became a huge popular success and it was a natural choice to extend our agreement and keep bringing the excitement of the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series to Brands Hatch and the amazing British fans. We are really happy and proud to continue evolving the event and make it even bigger and better.”

Brands Hatch’s Indy Circuit is a staple of the EuroNASCAR calendar. The only track from the current calendar that had been used in EuroNASCAR’s predecessor Racecar Euro Series, Brands Hatch has provided plenty of memorable moments and actions for stock car racing fans in the United Kingdom for the past twelve years.

After two years of hosting EuroNASCAR as a supporting event to a larger championship, Brands Hatch made history in 2013 when they hosted the first edition of the American SpeedFest. The event put EuroNASCAR on the main billing for the first time and since then, the event’s popularity has continued to increase from year to year.

Thanks to the efforts from MotorSport Vision and EuroNASCAR, the American SpeedFest has continued to provide fans with exciting EuroNASCAR races, unique tributes to American culture and an ever-growing amount of off-track entertainment options through its festival programme.

After a record 46,000 fans visited SpeedFest 9 last year, the tenth edition of the SpeedFest promises to be the biggest yet thanks to the arrival of NASCAR’s Garage 56 Le Mans racer and the SpeedFest Country Music Festival.

“We’re absolutely delighted that Brands Hatch will continue to feature on the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series calendar for the foreseeable future,” said MSV’s Motorsport Event Manager David Willey.

“Working together, we’ve built something special, not just for British NASCAR fans, but also families and those with a wider interest in American motoring, culture and food and drink. This year’s 10th anniversary event is already shaping up to be the best edition yet and we’re looking forward to being the official home of NASCAR in the UK for the next half decade.”
