Vladimiros Tziortzis has completed his pre-season testing programme for 2023 after the Cypriot and Academy Motorsport tested their car at Cremona and Castelletto earlier this week.
Vladimiros Tziortzis has completed his pre-season testing after the Cypriot and Academy Motorsport visited Cremona Circuit and Castelletto Circuit to conduct the team’s official pre-season test sessions.
Coverage of Tziortzis’ test from earlier this week was reported by Cypriot website AutoKinito, who released an article that covered the test on 29 April 2023.
“The last tests before the start of the new NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season were carried out this week in Italy by Vladimir Tziortzis,” reports Petros Soutzis of AutoKinito.
“At the invitation of his team, the Cypriot driver carried out the last tests for the new year on Italian circuits, namely Castelletto di Branduzzo and Cremona Circuit, and he is ready for the battle.”

Tziortzis, who will move up to the EuroNASCAR PRO class in 2023, revealed that the test sessions went exceptionally well. The 26-year old said that the Academy car recorded faster times than the ones set by the other teams, with the Cypriot using the times set by Race Art Technology’s Giorgio Maggi as his reference point.
“We have positive signs in Cremona as there was a Swiss guy that raced in the PRO class, who almost won last year in Croatia and will be racing again this year as well, and we were much faster [than his times],” notes Tziortzis.
“I am positive that everything will go well as we worked very well with the car and it is ready for Valencia.”

Tziortzis, who will be accompanied by Indian driver Advait Deodhar as his teammate in the top class, also showcased the new colors of Academy No’s 5 team during the test sessions.
The orange color of Japanese petroleum company ENEOS is featured prominently on the No. 5 FJ on the tests, suggesting that ENEOS is set to become the new primary sponsor of the No. 5 team in 2023.
AutoKinito also revealed that Tziortzis is due to make a press conference on 2 May 2023. The press conference is set to announce important news from the Academy team, with AutoKinito noting that the upcoming announcement had “emerged after a challenge from his team”.
