Italian lubricants company Dinoil have announced their continued participation in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series by releasing a new look for Fabrizio Armetta’s No. 55 The Club Motorsport Chevrolet Camaro in 2023.
Series veterans Fabrizio Armetta and The Club Motorsport will be back to the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series this year. Their continued participation was announced by team sponsor Dinoil, who released a new look for Armetta’s No. 55 Chevrolet Camaro on 10 March 2023 through social media.
“We are proud to present to you the new line of our Chevrolet Camaro that will participate in the upcoming EuroNASCAR championship!” said the Italian lubricants company on social media.
A long-time veteran who had been active in EuroNASCAR since 2013, Fabrizio Armetta took part in his first full-season campaign as an owner-driver last year. Armetta’s full-season participation was part of The Club’s expansion from part-time entrants to a full-time competitor in the series.
Armetta gave the team a very strong first full-season campaign, with highlights include a fourth place finish at Zolder to tie his previous career-best result and a strong performance at Brands Hatch where he qualified to the Superpole and fended off top class race winners Romain Iannetta, Patrick Lemarié, and Marc Goossens to secure a seventh place finish.
Armetta went on to score two more Top-10 finishes and would finish the year eleventh in the overall standings, just four points behind Henri Tuomaala – who narrowly beat the Italian for the Challenger Trophy honors – in tenth place.
Armetta’s 2022 campaign was largely supported by Dinoil, who had been sponsoring The Club since their debut in 2017. Dinoil, who ran a black-and-green livery in Armetta’s car last year, will be switching it up for a white-black-and-gold design for this year as they aim to achieve bigger things in the 2023 season.
