NASCAR Whelen Euro Series will introduce a new championship trophy for EuroNASCAR 2 champions starting from this year as part of the series’ new partnership contract with titanium jewelry brand Tijey.
EuroNASCAR 2 champions will be receiving a new championship trophy starting from this season as part of NASCAR Whelen Euro Series’ partnership contract extension with Italian titanium jewelry brand Tijey.
“We feel very fortunate to have such a great partner with Tijey!” Explained NWES President – CEO Jerome Galpin. “We are very happy and proud to offer to our drivers these Tijey NWES Champion Trophies that are original pieces of art! Being a NASCAR Champion is very special and allows one to to have an everlasting place in the NASCAR Hall of Fame, so the Champion Trophy, as well as the Champion Ring have to be very special too.”

Tijey, who is entering their third year of partnership with the series, has been providing the series with the PRO class championship trophy that was introduced last year as well as the titanium rings given to the series champions and winners of the “Tijey Fastest Driver Award”.
“Having reached the third season in this partnership with the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series organization, we are very happy to share the same values and at the same time announce an extension of our agreement,” said Tijey’s founder Luca Saladino in the official release.
“This led to the creation of the new EuroNASCAR 2 championship trophy. This way we will have the pleasure to reward with our Tijey titanium rings the drivers earning the most points in EuroNASCAR PRO at each event, while at the end of the season the two champions will raise our trophies to celebrate!”

Just like the EuroNASCAR PRO trophy, EuroNASCAR 2’s championship trophy has a design cue inspired by NASCAR Cup Series’ Bill France Cup and is manufactured using the AT6082 machined aluminium as its material of choice.
The EN2 championship trophy has some notable differences compared to the PRO class trophy, however. Design-wise, the EN2 trophy doesn’t feature the track design map that was engraved on the PRO class trophy. The EN2 trophy is also significantly smaller in dimension as the trophy has a base diameter of 140 mm, stands at 390 mm in height, and weighs just 6 kilograms.
EuroNASCAR 2’s trophy would also feature a blue support strut, a change that would also be implemented in the PRO class trophy starting from this year.
Barring an unexpected change to the calendar due to the pandemic situation, it is expected that the EuroNASCAR 2 championship trophy will be first awarded to the EuroNASCAR 2 champion at the conclusion of the season finale at Vallelunga on 31 October.
