It has been reported by leadlap.de and threewide.de on May 18 that Racing-Total’s NASCAR Whelen Euro Series team is going to be rebranded to Marko Stipp Motorsport starting from Brands Hatch. Marko Stipp Motorsport (MSM) will continue to field the No. 10 Camaro and the No. 46 Mustang and it is expected that MSM will continue the partnership that Racing-Total had with Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing and AmD Tuning.

“After years of successful and good partnership between Racing-Total and Marko Stipp Motorsport, an adjustment is currently taking place,” said Marko Stipp in his official statement. “Due to a difference in our business and sporting direction, both parties have decided to take a different path. We look back with satisfaction and thankfulness on this co-operation. For the future, we wish Racing-Total the best of luck in their motorsport endeavours.

For the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series race weekend on 1 and 2 June at Brands Hatch onwards, Marko Stipp Motorsport will officially act as an independent team. As usual, we will bring two cars into the race. Further information as soon as possible.”

Marko Stipp and Racing-Total has been working together for several years now in both the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series and Raceway Venray’s V8 Oval Series. The break-up between Racing-Total and Marko Stipp Motorsport meant that Racing-Total will end their participation in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series after two and a half years, although Hubertus Heyman – the owner of Racing-Total – has told leadlap.de that he plans to continue their commitments in the V8 Oval Series for the remainder of the 2019 season.

In the team’s Euro Series career, the team scored one race win in the series with Guillaume Deflandre in 2017 at the season finale’s Sunday Elite 2 race at Zolder. The team also scored two additional podium finishes, both were in Elite 2: Nicki Petersen’s third-place finish at the second Hockenheim Elite 2 race in 2017 and Justin Kunz’s second-place finish at last year’s first Elite 2 race at Tours.

While it is unknown whether Marko Stipp will drive for Marko Stipp Motorsport in the upcoming races, it is expected that Racing-Total’s drivers Ant-Whorton Eales, Jennifer Jo Cobb, and Shaun Hollamby will continue to race in the series with MSM for Brands Hatch.
