Two-time NASCAR Euro Series champion Vittorio Ghirelli will contest the 2026 Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières with support from Rousseau Metal and Festidrag.tv.
Vittorio Ghirelli is once again set to enter NASCAR Canada Series’ Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R) following the announcement that NASCAR Euro Series made on 10 July 2026.
It marked the Italian’s second appearance at GP3R. The two-time EuroNASCAR champion competed in last year’s edition, driving the No. 50 Rousseau Metal / Festidrag.tv Chevrolet Camaro.
Rousseau Metal and Festidrag.tv will continue their support to Ghirelli as part of their extended commitment to support driver exchanges within EuroNASCAR and NASCAR Canada.
“This is the DNA of the NASCAR Euro Series to promote its drivers and offer them the best possible racing opportunities,” said Jerome Galpin in the official announcement.
“During the last 15 years, we supported over 40 drivers to race in North America at every level of NASCAR becoming one of the Series offering the best prizes and opportunities to its drivers. Vittorio is a great champion who will for sure perfectly represent the series and our values.”
Ghirelli became the first EuroNASCAR driver to compete in GP3R since Frédéric Gabillon, who finished eighth in the 2018 edition.
The Italian showcased top-10 pace during his GP3R debut, but he was unable to secure a strong finish after he was forced to retire on lap 43 due to an engine fire.
Shortly after his retirement, Ghirelli mentioned that he’s hoping that he can return to GP3R in his post-race interview with REVTV’s Todd Lewis.
With the PK Carsport driver receiving his wish and experience gained from last year, Ghirelli is confident that he can push himself to new heights and show what EuroNASCAR drivers are capable of in North America competition.
“We’re coming back to GP3R!” said Ghirelli in the official announcement. “Returning to GP3R is a fantastic opportunity to prove ourselves again.”
“Last year we were up to speed already, but this year we’re preparing very well. We know the track, we know the circuit, we’re working with the team and we want to deliver a good result. See you at the GP3R!”
