Liam Hezemans and Gil Linster expressed their feelings on being part of Rette Jones Racing’s successful first EuroNASCAR campaign in 2025.

Rette Jones Racing drivers Liam Hezemans and Gil Linster expressed their feelings on the 2025 NASCAR Euro Series season as they closed their maiden campaign together in the EuroNASCAR Finals at Circuit Zolder.

As quoted from a press release published prior to the Finals, both drivers agreed that they were proud of what Rette Jones had accomplished in their first NASCAR Euro Series.

“When I look back on this season, I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished together as a team,” expressed Liam, the lead driver in EuroNASCAR PRO.

“Joining Rette Jones Racing for their first season in the NASCAR Euro Series was a big step for everyone and we’ve shown that we can compete right away.”

Linster added that he is grateful to Rette Jones and partners Hendriks Motorsport after they helped him to get back up to speed following the health issues that he had earlier in the year.

“This season has definitely had its ups and downs, but overall, I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished,” said Linster.

“We faced some challenges early on, especially with my health, but as the year went on, we got stronger every weekend.

“Rette Jones Racing took on a big challenge coming to Europe this year and to see the progress we’ve made together is something special.”

Liam and Linster also expressed their happiness with the results achieved in the preceding round at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.

Liam provided the highlights by winning the Saturday race in Germany. The Dutchman led Rette Jones to the history books as RJR became the first American team to win in EuroNASCAR.

Linster capped off their strong weekend by returning to the podium positions, his first since the season opener in Valencia.

“Winning at Oschersleben was an incredible moment for everyone at Rette Jones Racing,” said Liam on his victory.

“It was our first win together in the NASCAR Euro Series, and to make history as the first American team to win in the series made it even more special.”

“The car was fast all weekend, and everything just clicked. I was lucky to avoid the first-lap, first-corner carnage and get out front early.”

“From there, it was all about controlling the race and executing perfectly. The team gave me a great setup, and we made the most of every opportunity.”

“Getting back on the podium [in Oschersleben] and showing that consistent speed again meant a lot not just for me, but for the whole team that’s worked so hard behind the scenes,” added Linster.

“I was also really happy for Liam and everyone at Rette Jones Racing to see the team earn its first NASCAR Euro Series win. It was a huge moment for all of us, and it served as proof of how hard this group has worked throughout the year.”

“After everything we’ve worked through this season, to come back and perform like that was really rewarding. The car was strong, the team gave me everything I needed, and it reminded me that we’re right where we belong: Competing for podiums and wins.”

As things stand, both drivers have yet to confirm their plans for 2026. Liam comments that there’s an “80% chance” of him returning next year when interviewed by Andre Wiegold in the season finale, but he cannot say any further.

Liam performed competitively in Belgium, scoring a runner-up and fourth place finishes to seal fourth in the 2025 standings.

As for Linster, an untimely retirement in the finale prevented him from ending his campaign inside the top-10. The Luxembourg driver finished 11th in the EuroNASCAR OPEN standings, six points away from Bremotion’s Dominique Schaak.
