SpeedHouse V8GP racer Brad Ranson will be part of NASCAR Canada Series’ 39-car strong field in the WeatherTech 200 at Mosport Park.
NASCAR Canada Series is set to make history in this weekend’s WeatherTech 200 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
The series announced that 39 cars have been entered for the penultimate round of the 2026 season, setting a new record for the largest Entry List that the Canadian NASCAR championship has ever seen.
Brad Ranson, who competes full-time in the NASCAR Euro Series with SpeedHouse, is among those listed in the Entry List for the WeatherTech 200.
The event is set to be Ranson’s fourth NASCAR Canada event in his career. The 30-year old is having a trans-Atlantic rookie season in 2026, alternating between his full-time EuroNASCAR duty with SpeedHouse and a part-time NASCAR Canada campaign with DJK Racing.
Ranson made his NASCAR Canada debut on the championship’s previous visit to Mosport on 17 May, where he retired early. His next appearances at Calabogie and Markham fared better with a 16th and 12th place finishes respectively.
Ranson will have a busy September as he is set to compete in three back-to-back weekends. After Mosport 2, Ranson is set to make his oval debut at Delaware Speedway on 12 September before he heads to Vallelunga for the NASCAR GP Italy on 19 September.
Ranson currently sits 21st in the EuroNASCAR V8GP championship. His best results so far came at Brands Hatch, where he recorded a double 14th place result.
The 39-car Entry List itself is headlined by Marc-Antoine Camirand, who is on the verge of winning three back-to-back NASCAR Canada titles at Mosport.
Camirand is dominating the 2026 season so far, having won seven out of the 11 races hosted so far. With an 82 point lead to Louis-Phillipe Dumoulin, Camirand – who won the 2022, 2024 and 2025 titles – only needed to finish 30th or better to clinch his fourth overall title.
Camirand’s odds to do so are high as he had no finishes outside of the top-10 in 2026. His worst result, incidentally, came at the previous Mosport visit, where he “only” finished tenth.
