Arianna Casoli will become the first female driver to race in NASCAR Brasil following the announcement of her wildcard entry to the season finale at Circuito dos Cristais.

Arianna Casoli, the most experienced driver in EuroNASCAR OPEN history, will make a special trip to Brazil for a wildcard appearance in the season finale of the 2024 NASCAR Brasil Series at the newly built Circuito dos Cristais oval in Minas Gerais.

Casoli will be honored as the first female driver to compete in NASCAR Brasil Series following its integration to NASCAR’s International division.

She’s also the first NASCAR Euro Series driver to be invited for a one-off outing in the sole NASCAR championship in South America.

“It’s an honor for me,” said Casoli, who will race the No. 14 Chevrolet Camaro at Cristais. “It’s a dream come true and still hard to believe. It’s a huge responsibility and even scary to hope to live up to expectations.”

“I’m experiencing a mix of euphoria, disbelief, pride, and gratitude. I’ll realize this over the weekend of the event. I hope I can be an example for women in the future of NASCAR Brazil.”

Casoli recently completed her ninth season in EuroNASCAR, finishing 19th after taking part in all 13 races with SpeedHouse Racing. This includes the Oval GP at Raceway Venray, the Italian’s first oval race in six years.

Casoli’s participation in Cristais would allow her to compete in three additional oval races, as the round at the 0.776-mile oval will feature three sprint races.

Her friendly and affable personality, coupled with her long-term dedication to the sport, has allowed Casoli to become one of the most popular figures in the EuroNASCAR paddock.

She’s also a great inspiration for female NASCAR fans in Europe and hopes that her participation in Brazil will empower the women there as well.

“Accepting that NASCAR is not an easy race was the most complicated part, but the outcome so far is incredibly positive, despite the need for physical, mental, and organizational preparation, since I am a mother,” adds Casoli in the official release.

“I want to be an example for the new generations, starting with the younger girls, but especially for women who, after the age of 40, often give up on the chance to make their dreams come true.”
