V8 Thunder Cars have announced their 2025 season schedule, featuring 12 races in five events and the return of Ring Knutstorp in place of a second event at Gelleråsen Arena.
Fresh off the results from a stunning 2024 finale at Mantorp Park, V8 Thunder Cars have announced their calendar for the 2025 season.
The new season will feature the same format of 12 races in five events, but it will introduce some shake-ups to keep the championship exciting.
The 2025 season will begin at Anderstorp Raceway, just like it was in 2024. The former home of the Swedish Grand Prix will host the season opener for the fifth consecutive year.
There is, however, one key difference to the 2025 Anderstorp round. The event will have three races instead of two, adding further challenge to the drivers as they will be immediately sent into the deep end on 9-10 May 2025.
A two-month break followed before V8TC returns to Falkenbergs Motorbana on 11-13 July 2025. The Västkustloppet round is a popular venue for V8TC and with three races scheduled, fans can expect plenty of action at the 1.843-kilometer circuit.
The Kanonloppet at Gelleråsen Arena will move to the third round slot on 15-16 August 2025, but before that there’s also a non-championship event that will take place in between Västkustloppet and Kanonloppet.
No details are known just yet, but V8TC stated that “when, where and what is at stake for the participants will be announced shortly.”
Just two weeks after Kanonloppet is the Newsrace at Ring Knutstorp. Returning to the calendar on 29-30 August 2025, Knutstorp’s mix of fast and slow sections will present a lot of challenges for the V8TC competitors.
Mantorp Park will host the season finale once again. The site of plenty of late-season dramas promises to bring even more of that when the Grande Finale is held on 19-20 September 2025.
