Alumitec Racing expands into a two-car team in 2026, adding the No. 48 team to join the existing No. 11 Ford Mustang squad.
Alumitec Racing announced the next piece of the puzzle for their 2026 NASCAR Euro Series campaign.
After announcing their move to France, Alumitec confirmed their intention to expand into a two-car team on 2 February 2026.
Joining Alumitec’s existing No. 11 Ford Mustang team is the brand new No. 48 entry, which will make its first appearance in the 2026 Valencia NASCAR Fest at Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
“Alumitec Racing officially confirms two full-time entries for the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series season,” the Canadian team announced on social media.
“Starting in 2026, Alumitec Racing will field two cars full-time, proudly carrying the #11 and #48, marking a major milestone in the team’s long-term competitive strategy.”
Just like the relocation announcement, Alumitec had previously announced the expansion news in a press release that was dated back to 22 January 2026.
Alumitec stated that the decision to expand is driven by their goal to “maximize data acquisition, accelerate development cycles, and strengthen race-weekend execution through shared engineering insights and strategic collaboration between both entries.”
Both cars will be operated in-house, as anticipated following the reveal of Alumitec’s plans to compete as a fully independent team in 2026.
“This confirmation of two full-time entries is a defining moment for Alumitec Racing,” said team boss Alain Lord Mounir in the press release.
“Running the No. 11 and No. 48 cars for the full season demonstrates our commitment, our seriousness, and our belief in the program we are building. This is not about participation, it is about building a foundation capable of winning.”
Alumitec stated that “more announcements” are “coming soon”.
