Loris Cencetti is set to make his NASCAR Euro Series debut with Marko Stipp Motorsport in the 2025 NASCAR GP Germany at Oschersleben.
Marko Stipp Motorsport has successfully realized their goal of returning to their home NASCAR GP at Oschersleben. The German team will field Loris Cencetti on the No. 47 Chevrolet Camaro in EuroNASCAR OPEN.
Cencetti is therefore set to make his debut as a competitor in EuroNASCAR’s two main divisions. The Italian previously competed with Racingfuel Motorsport in EuroNASCAR Rookie Challenge in 2023.
“After visiting EuroNASCAR as a fan two years ago, I immediately fell in love with the series and knew this was where I wanted to make my return,” said Cencetti in MSM’s official announcement.
“Marko Stipp Motorsport shares my vision of rebuilding and winning again. They have everything in place, and I want to be the missing piece to help bring the team back to the top.”
Hailing from Luxembourg, Cencetti first came to the scene in 2013 when he dominated the Trofeo Abarth Benelux Selenia in Neri/Autopilis’ Fiat 500 Abarth.
The 32-year old driver then moved to TCR Benelux, where he enjoyed a moderately successful campaign in the 2016 and 2018 seasons.
However, the 2018 TCR season was Cencetti’s last year of professional racing up until 2025. Cencetti is aware of the challenge that he’s going to be facing and plans to just get himself readjusted as he prepares for a full-time return in 2026.
“My expectations are always high, but since both the track and EuroNASCAR are new to me, I don’t expect miracles right away,” said Cencetti on his Oschersbelen goals.
“The main goal is to build rhythm after seven years away, work well with the team, and create a strong foundation for a 2026 comeback. For now, it’s all about learning, understanding the car, and enjoying the experience.”
Cencetti will become the fourth Luxembourg driver to compete in the NASCAR Euro Series. With countryman Gil Linster also scheduled to race in Germany, it meant that EuroNASCAR will have two Luxembourger drivers in the same grid for the first time since the 2012 season.
Nathalie Maillet and Eric Menini – the first two Luxembourger NASCAR drivers – took part in the first EuroNASCAR race under official NASCAR sanctioning back at Nogaro in 2012.
Unlike Linster and Cencetti, Maillet and Menini ran in different classes that year. Maillet was running full-time in EuroNASCAR PRO with her Racing Club Partners outfit, while Menini made his one and only appearance in EuroNASCAR OPEN with TFT Racing.
