Alumitec Racing’s No. 11 team was excluded from three NASCAR GP UK races for “refusal of inspections”.
Alumitec Racing’s No. 11 Ford Mustang team have been excluded from three races at the NASCAR GP UK for “refusal of inspections”.
The incident took place in between Sunday’s EuroNASCAR V8GP and EuroNASCAR OPEN races.
The official announcement said that Alumitec Racing “was judged to have refused technical inspections to the #11 car when the team replaced an engine after V8GP Round 6.”
“According to the NASCAR Euro Series Technical Regulation Article 19, the official technical delegation came to the Alumitec Racing pit box to collect the dismounted engine for inspections.”
“Team members refused the collection of said engine by technical delegate, therefore confirming a refusal of inspections.”
The penalty was imposed according to Article 20 of the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series Technical Regulations and Article 17.2, point m), level 4 of the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series Sporting Regulations.
The three races that are affected are both V8GP races and the first OPEN race. This meant that Gianmarco Ercoli was excluded from the whole weekend, while Raphael Lessard was disqualified from his first race.
World of EuroNASCAR understands that Lessard was spared from a further exclusion in OPEN Race 2 because he was running the replacement engine on his #11 Ford Mustang.
As World of EuroNASCAR had yet to release coverage for V8GP Race 2 and both OPEN races, the reports will be published with the results of the exclusion in mind.
